BIKEFEST 2023

In 2022, the BikeFest team cycled almost 400 km from Valencia to Barcelona to mark the conspicuous absence of ISE. The team will do it again in 2023 from January 27-29. Live the adventure and help your industry! With the attention of the general public, the initiative also wants to make visible other important areas that seriously affect our industry such as inclusivity, sustainability and diversity.

· You can join us for a single day (approx. 100km), or all three (364km). Accommodation, breakfast and dinner are included in the entry fee. And you also have the option to hire a specialist bike or support vehicle.

· BikeFest offers budget-friendly promotional opportunities so you can align your brand with a worthy cause.

· If you want to donate directly to the industry charities you can do and contribute to help the individuals through the different programs that Backup is involved.

PLASA was represented at AFIAL 2021, participating in its AFIAL CONECTA conference program. In the #WME HUB space, we knew everything about the actions that the #WeMakeEvents movement has carried out during the last year and what is the roadmap of this international project that has already become a community.

Live events around the world have been devastated, from major festivals and iconic theaters, to grassroots venues and corporate events. Without significant immediate government support, the entire supply chain is at risk of collapse. Given the lack of recognition of a clear vulnerability, and of concrete aid by the government, it is vital to give visibility to the worrying situation that the Show and Events sector is experiencing, under the same slogan and direction that urges the Government of Spain now the responsible Ministries (Labor, Finance, Economic Affairs, Culture and Sports and Industry) to take urgent measures for the survival of the sector, in addition to creating a sectorial table that defines the needs of the same, affected by the seasonality and intermittency of the activity, giving priority to regulation through the negotiation of a national sectoral collective agreement.

#30S - #GLOBALDAY

To highlight that the live events sector urgently needs the support of governments to survive the Covid-19 crisis, Global Day will take place on September 30. Around the world, thousands of venues will be lit red with unique beams, projections and art installations to raise awareness among governments and the media of the need to drive change.

The Events and Shows Sector has died due to abandonment of the administrations and inactivity during 2020. The funeral will take place on December 11. The assistance of rigorous black is requested to show condolences to the more than 800,000 families who have worked in it and its lovers. R.I.P.
